Benefits of Phenolic Ductwork for Your HVAC System

Commercial Comfort Systems was an early adopter of phenolic ductwork in the United States with more than 20 years of experience fabricating and installing pre-insulated duct systems. Our team builds phenolic ductwork in accordance with the SMACNA PHenolic Duct Construction Standards for commercial, industrial and multifamily applications.

Phenolic ductwork combines the duct, insulation and interior air surface into one lightweight system. High thermal resistance, low air leakage and long fabricated sections can reduce field labor, simplify handling and improve the efficiency of the air-distribution system. Ductwork can be fabricated in sections up to 13' long and can provide the optimum energy saving performance engineers are looking for. The smooth aluminum interior also provides a durable, fiber-free surface with no exposed fibrous insulation in the airstream.

Over two decades of phenolic ductwork experience

Commercial Comfort Systems has more than 20 years of experience fabricating and installing phenolic ductwork for new construction and renovation projects. These lightweight, pre-insulated duct systems are well suited for commercial, industrial, institutional and multifamily HVAC applications where thermal performance, low air leakage, space limitations or non-fibrous insulation are important considerations.

Phenolic ductwork can be installed indoors, outdoors, above ceilings, within mechanical spaces or as exposed ductwork. Straight sections, fittings, plenums and risers can also be integrated with conventional sheet metal systems, allowing contractors and engineers to apply phenolic ductwork where it provides the greatest project benefit.

All phenolic ductwork is fabricated and installed in accordance with the SMACNA Phenolic Duct Construction Standards.
